Charles E. Lane

Charles E. Lane, 72, of Largo, Fla. and formerly of Holley, passed away on Feb. 25, 2019 after a lengthy illness.

Chuck served in the U.S. Air Force following high school, and was thereafter employed  by Owens Illinois until the plant closed in the mid 1980s. He then decided to make Florida his home, where he met and married his spouse, Connie.

Chuck was an avid NASCAR fan and collector of racing memorabilia and was active with the Madeira Beach American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Marion Lane; and his brother, Donald Lane.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Lou; daughter, Annette (Thomas) Gentilesco; grandson, Airman First Class Dario Gentilesco; and granddaughter, Ariana Gentilesco; his sisters, Beverly Brennan and Judith Lane; his brothers, Stephen Lane and Richard Lane; and several nieces and nephews.

A gathering will be held March 16, 2019 at Mohn Funeral Home, 9700 Seminole Blvd., Seminole FL 33772, at 11 a.m., followed by his funeral service at 12 p.m.
