Cecelia G. Amsdill

Cecelia G. Amsdill, 90, of Lyndonville, NY, went to be with the Lord on Mon., Oct. 5, 2020 at the Medina Memorial Hospital. Born on June 30, 1930 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Overulski) Gozdowiak.

Cecelia started working when she was 16 and on Jan. 28, 1950, she married the late Gordon H. Amsdill and made her home on the Amsdill Farm, raising five children. She was a communicant at the Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church, serving for many years as Eucharistic Minister. She was a devoted housewife and mother, making sure her family was always provided for.

She is survived her four children: Cathy (Tim) Beiersdorf, Chris (Sue) Amsdill, all of Lyndonville, NY, Ann (Kenny) Nice of Knowlesville, NY, Joan Prahler of Albion, NY. Also survived are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and a special granddaughter, Jaime Amsdill. Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a son, Gordon and seven siblings.

As per Cecelia’s wishes, there are no calling hours and a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
