Catherine VanDetta
Catherine VanDetta, 78, of Albion, died Feb. 12, 2020 in Medina Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born Jan. 16, 1942 in Albion to George and Marion (Cassidy) VanDetta and was a lifelong resident of this area.
Catherine was a person who loved to shop. She also loved cats, birdwatching, doing yardwork, cooking, and listening to the radio or watching TV.
Miss VanDetta was predeceased by her brothers, George, Anthony and Peter VanDetta; as well as two sisters, Judy Rutherford and Patty Swanger.
She is survived by her sister, Janice Loreback of Brockport; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Catherine’s memorial service on Fri., Feb. 21 at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in the spring in Holy Cross Cemetery, Holley.
