Catharine M. Gallagher (nee, Allen)
Catharine M. Gallagher (nee, Allen), 75, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 24, 2020.
She was born July 29, 1945 to the late Catharine and Frank Allen. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Kelly Catharine Gallagher; sister, Emma Cosby; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; ex-husband, James Gallagher, and members of her treasured church family.
Cathy was a dedicated, lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Holley for many years. She loved this church and her church family dearly. She is predeceased also by her sister, Marion Woodworth and brother, James Allen.
Cathy was a talented seamstress and made clothing and curtains for herself, her daughter, and neighbors and friends. She was also a very good cook. She worked with the historical society for the Town of Murray and Village of Holley for a time. Working for 23 years at Lawyer’s Co-Op in Rochester, she received many accolades during her career.
Cathy is and will be sorely missed. Cathy was cremated, a service and interment of her ashes for will be scheduled for a date this spring.
