Carolyn BoyleCarolyn L. Boyle, 89, of Medina, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Sun., March 8, 2020 at The Villages of Orleans in Albion. She was born on Jan. 22, 1931 in Medina, a daughter of the late Frank and Mae (Simonson) Boyle.

Carolyn attended Medina High School and worked various jobs throughout her life. She worked at both Endicott Shoe Company and Baughn’s Shoe Store in Medina, and in the administrative office at Medina Memorial Hospital. She was employed until 2011 as a secretary for St. John’s Episcopal Church, where she was a lifelong member, a Sunday School teacher and superintendent, a lay reader, the church treasurer, and a member of the Altar Guild. She was a lifelong member of the Welcome Rebekah and a past New York State President of the Rebekah’s Assembly.

Carolyn is survived by her brother, Carl (Mary) Boyle of Medina, and was a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by eight siblings, Lillian Boyle, Florence Rook, Aida Hatch, Marie Conolly, Edna Barnum, David Boyle, Frank Boyle and Arnold Boyle.

As per Carolyn’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside committal will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., March 21 at Boxwood Cemetery, Route 63, Medina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carolyn’s name to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 200 E. Center St., Medina NY 14103.
