Caroline TuckerCaroline Ann “Carol” Tucker, 77, who was born, raised and lived in Barker her entire life, passed away on Fri., Feb. 15, 2019.

Carol was the wife of Ronald L. Tucker Sr. and a wonderful cheerleader and mom to her three children, Ronald Tucker Jr. of Penfield, Donald (Laura) Tucker of East Amherst, and Ginger (David) Lamb of Chicago, Ill. She had three grandsons, Adam, Jonathan and Matthew; and a granddaughter, Sarah Grace, who preceded her.

Carol, the daughter of the late Howard and Berenice (Gifford) Diez and daughter-in-law to the late Francis and Dorothy (Allen) Tucker, was born on Jan. 2, 1942. She graduated from Barker Central High School and married her husband, Ron, on April 15, 1961.

She was a member of County Line United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed family gatherings, baking, gardening, and her beautiful home. A number of years ago, she studied tole painting and had a craft shop, Caroline’s Treasures, and a booth at Canal Country Artisans in Medina.

She was the youngest of four children, the late Howard (Judith) Diez, the late Robert (Ann) Diez, and the late Lorraine “Rain” (Paul) Phillips. She was sister-in-law to the late Shirley (Patrick) Ryan, the late Mark (Elizabeth “Betty”) Tucker and the late Benjamin (Alice) Tucker. She was predeceased by her three nephews, Timothy Phillips, Mitchell Tucker and Timothy Ryan.

Carol is survived by her sisters-in-law, Ann Diez and Betty Tucker; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., Feb. 23 at County Line United Methodist Church, followed by fellowship and a celebration of life from 12 to 2 p.m. at the church. Upon cremation, burial will be at Somerset Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
