Carol S. Fox

MEDINA – Carol S. Fox entered into rest on Monday, October 2, 2023 with her family by her side following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Medina on October 5, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Regina (Pszczolkowski) Sevenski. Carol graduated from Lyndonville High School, Class of 1963. She married the late John R. Fox, Sr. on November 15, 1969, together they raised four children.

Early on Carol worked for FMC in Middleport and Cormed in Medina. She then worked as the Human Resources Director for ARC GLOW (formerly ARC of Orleans) for over 30 years, retiring in 2016. Carol was also a TWIG volunteer at Medina Memorial Hospital and enjoyed bowling with her sisters in the local bowling leagues. Carol was a dedicated and loving Wife, Mother, Grandma/ “Mimo”, Aunt, Sister and friend. She always made sure that every holiday was so special, including Easter Sundays with egg hunts, big Thanksgiving dinners and the most giving and fun Christmas’ ever. She took so much pride in her family, always putting them first, making sure they had what they needed and was always there for everyone. She will be forever missed and in the hearts of all that knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John R. Fox, Sr. in 2017; son, Jeffrey Fox in 2021; and her sister, Maryann Hildreth in 2022.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Johnny (Apryl) Fox, Jr. of Kent; Thomas (Jill) Fox of Albion, and Aric (Emily) Fox of Medina; daughter in-law, Landa Fox of North Port, FL; nine grandchildren, Brayden, Carly, Dylan, Madison, Thomas, Caleb, Hannah, Aric Jr. and Adalynne; siblings, Lorraine Catruna, Patricia Howard, Barbara (Nate) Lincoln, Rosemary (Pete) Pegelow, Dorothy (Gary) Callard, Vincent (Vicki) Sevenski and Margaret (Rick) DePeters; and many nieces and nephews, including Jill Pegelow who was near and dear to her heart.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, Oct. 9 from 4-7 PM at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Richard Csizmar on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 11:00AM at Holy Family Parish, 106 S. Main St., Albion, NY 14411. All are welcome to join the family for a luncheon immediately following the mass, the location of which will be announced at the mass.
