Carol Culmo, 83, of Hellertown, Pa. and formerly of Waterport, went to be with the Lord on Sat., Sept. 7, 2019.

Born on Nov. 26, 1935 in Syracuse, she was the daughter of Gordon and Helen (Camic) Hoffman. She graduated from Lyndonville High School and continued her education at Bryant & Stratton School of Business. She married Vincent James Culmo in 1957, and together they raised two children. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and caring for others. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and swimming. She served in many volunteer capacities within her community, including the Florida School for the Blind in Ocala, Fla. and the Lions Club of Belleview, Fla.

She is predeceased by her husband, Vincent; her parents, Gordon and Helen Hoffman; and her sister, Virginia (Hoffman) Satterlee.

She is survived by her son, Steven (Charlene née Strickland) Culmo of Lyndonville; daughter, Pamela (Keith Hill) Plummer of Hellertown; grandchildren, Jillian (Plummer) Mitchel and Ethan Stavely of Orlando, Fla., Jon Terp of Houston, Texas, Thomas Culmo of Lyndonville, Tara Jack and Jack Paulus of Hackettstown, N.J., Andrew (Isabella, Layla and Harper) Bresett of Lyndonville, and Alexandra Bresett of Lyndonville; brothers, Richard (Elizabeth) Hoffman of Lakeside, N.Y., Roy (Debbie) Hoffman of Kenyonville, Lee (Cheryl) Hoffman of Alabama, and Paul (Candy) Hoffman of Homosassa, Fla.; and countless nieces and nephews throughout the United States.

There will be no calling hours. There will be a graveside service at Kenyonville Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Thu., Sept. 19. A reception will follow the service. Details will be announced at the service.
