Carol A. Tibbits

Carol A. Tibbits, 66, of Albion passed away May 5, 2022 at the Martin-Linsin Residence surrounded by her family.  She was born Aug. 26, 1955 in Albion, a daughter of the late Gordon and Arlene (Hard) Tibbits and had lived in this area all of her life.

Carol graduated from Albion High School in 1973.  She worked as an LPN at Arnold Gregory Hospital in Albion, Medina Memorial Hospital, the Orleans County Jail and then at the Monroe County Jail.  She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church, the Albion Fire Department, AFD Board of Directors and FASNY.  Carol was president of WNY Ladies Auxiliary as well as president and treasurer of Albion Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  She was a sports enthusiast and loved the Buffalo Bills, the Buffalo Sabres and the Baltimore Orioles.  She loved to travel, going to the casino, reading, gardening, hydrangeas, doing crafts, and baking, which she was known for her world-famous garlic bread.  Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her brother, Richard (Linda) Tibbits; nephew, James (Shelly) Luczak and their children: Tyler and Jenna; extended family: Dale and Eileen Banker; Goddaughter, Stephanie (Eric) Williams and their children: Connor and Landon; life-long friend, Marleen DeCarlo; beloved pup, Bad Boy Bailey Banker; as well as the Green and Papponetti families.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. on Fri. May 6 from 4-7 p.m.  Her funeral service will be held Sat., May 7 at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery at a later date.
