Burl E. Dodson

Burl E. Dodson entered into rest on his 63rd birthday, Sept. 28, 2019, at Medina Memorial Hospital.

Burl was born Sept. 28, 1956 in Paris, Texas to Samuel E. Dodson and Janet (Woodworth) Doty. Burl attended high school in Valentine, Neb. and worked throughout his life as a stone mason and a cook. Burl married Sandy Gentry on April 1, 1975. Of this union, one child was born, Patricia Hope Dodson. Burl married Pam Dodson on July 12, 1986. Of this union, two children were born, Daniel Dodson and Amber Dodson. He ran BMW Masonry out of his home in Albion. He was also very active in Albion school functions and was a member of the PTA.

Burl is survived by three children, Patti (Jeremy) Lee-Smith of David City, Neb., Daniel (Jacquelynn) Dodson of North Java, N.Y. and Amber Dodson of Rochester, N.Y.; grandchildren, Gentrie Dodson, Madison Lee, Angel Dodson, Gage Swan, Mykal Thousand, Finn Dodson and Willa Dodson; sister, Sondra (Dan) Adams of Wheatland, Iowa; brother, Wallace Dodson of Nebraska; nieces, Linda (James) Jones, Andrea (Jerry) Bopp, Amanda (Dwight) Wiese and Kaylee Hollandsworth; and nephews, Eric (Jenny) Colburn and Ty Hollandsworth.

He is predeceased by his parents; and by his sister, Joanna Kate Hollandsworth.
