Buddy Avino

ALBION – Buddy Avino, age 63, passed away January 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born August 18, 1960, a son of Patricia Pawlaczyk Avino and the late Eugene Avino.

Buddy worked for 27 years as a fork lift driver at St. Gobain’s in Albion. He enjoyed camping, fishing, snowmobiling, helping his mother Pat with her flower garden and helping others with whatever projects they had going on. Most importantly, he was a devoted papa and loved spending time with all of his family.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Carl and Marian Pawlaczyk, paternal grandparents Jesse and Lucy Avino, and father-in-law Donald Thering.

He is survived by his wife June whom he married on April 5, 1986; his children: Nicole (Tait) Olson, Zachary Avino, Rochelle (Donald) Heard, and Travis Avino; grandchildren: Skyler McCoy, Autumn Olson, Harper Heard, Wesley Heard, Maci Avino, and Reign Avino; his mother Pat and her dear friend Bob Zipeto; siblings: Tony Avino, Debra Avino, Sally (Bob) Avino, and Diane (Brian) Froman; half-sister Cindy Bright; half-brother Fredrick Avino; mother-in-law Dolores Thering; 6 sisters-in-law; 5 brothers-in-law as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, 14080 NY-31, Albion NY 14411. Arrangements were entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Albion.
