Bruce W. Baney

ALBION – Bruce W. Baney, age 80, passed away December 20, 2024 at Medina Memorial Hospital. He was born November 21, 1944 in Lewistown, PA to the late Paul and Jennie (Loss) Baney.

Bruce enjoyed fishing, collecting two-dollar bills, coke cola, wrestling and Nascar races.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Barbara; siblings, Emma Baney, Kenneth Baney, Christabell Loss, Catherine Ettinger, John Baney, Dorothy Keister, Raymond Baney, Mary Swierczinski, Myrtle Smith and Percy Baney.

Bruce is survived by his children, Marci (Doug) Platt and Paul (Melissa) Baney; grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Porter, Joshua Platt, Nicholas (Emma) Platt, McKenzie Baney, Marissa Baney and Gavin Baney; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Brooks, Brooklyn Drennan and Legend Porter; longtime partner, Patricia Carthon; siblings, Grant Baney, Ruth Knight and Mildred Tom; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bruce’s family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Friday, December 27th from 4 to 7 p.m. His funeral service will be held the next day at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Mt. Albion Cemetery.
