Bruce E. Humphrey

Bruce E. Humphrey, 73, of Batavia, NY, passed away on Wed., Sept. 8, 2021 at the Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing in Batavia.

Born on Dec. 20, 1947 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Cecil H. and Clara B. (Radder) Humphrey.

Bruce graduated from Barker High School in 1966 and attended Niagara Community College and then received his Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Empire State College. On July 26, 1975 he married the former Judy Newton. Bruce worked as a Comptroller for the Newton Falls Paper Mill in the Adirondacks. After their closing, he moved back to the western New York and was employed as an Auditor for Baker, Shore & Dilorenzo of Lockport until he retired in 2010. Bruce was a diehard Yankee’s and Buffalo Bills fan and in his spare time listened to classic rock. He also enjoyed having happy hour with family and friends and also a good game of euchre and poker.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy; three children: Philip (Ann) MacDonald Jr. of Greenville, SC, Stefanie (John) Starkweather of E. Bethany, NY, Jennifer (Andre) White of Woodbridge, VA; grandchildren: Jorden, Tyler, Jarrett, Phoenix, Ryder; and a great-granddaughter, Ava.

Relatives and friends may call on Tue., Sept. 14, 2021, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St., Lyndonville, NY 14098, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetery.
