Bobby C. Dellinger Sr.

Bobby C. Dellinger Sr., 86, of Medina, NY, passed away peacefully on Sun., May 15, 2022 with his loving family at his side at Supportive Care of Orleans, Albion, NY.

Born on Dec. 13, 1935, in Clinchco, Va., he was the son of the late Vern and Willie Mae (Wright) Dellinger. He attended school and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1954 and proudly served for 20 years as a Tech Sergeant, having traveled to Hawaii, Alaska, Texas, Japan and Taiwan. In 1974, he returned home, working as a store clerk at the Agway in Knowlesville. Bobby retired in 1991.  He enjoyed painting, going to garage sales, eating Chinese food and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by three children: Bobby C. (Lois) Dellinger, Jr., Fred E. (Rosie) Dellinger, Melissa A. (Phil) Schening, all of Medina; 9 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren; siblings: Donald Dellinger of Medina, Ohio and Norma Hartman of Bellevue, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Bobby is predeceased by his former wife, Mary Lou Dellinger and a special friend, Mary Ann Curtin.

Friends and relatives may call at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, NY 14103 on Sat., May 21, 2022 from 10 am to Noon, where a funeral service will be held at Noon.  Burial will be in the Bates Road Cemetery with full military honors accorded.

Memorials may be made in Bobby’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
