Betty Jane Crockett
Betty Jane Crockett, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away on September 1, 2024.
She was born in Medina, NY, to the late Frederick Pierce Blount and Clara Louise Nayman Blount.
Betty graduated from Madina high school and began her career at Murphy’s 5 & Dime in Medina. She went on to work at GE Assembly and later managed the books for her husband’s business, Grant’s Collision. Throughout her life, Betty and her family lived in various locations, including San Jose and Oakland, CA, Statesville, NC, and she settled in Vero Beach, FL, about ten years ago.
Betty had a passion for collecting dolls with her sisters, including a notable collection of Cabbage Patch Dolls. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her family cherished the time they spent together.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant E. Crockett and her sister, Bernice McNeil.
Betty is survived by her children, Sandra L. Cosser of Vero Beach, FL, and David E. Crockett (Deborah) of Lady Lake, FL; her siblings, Rose Castricone and Thomas Blount; grandchildren, AJ Gonzalez, Jeremy Crockett, and Krysta Crockett; and great-grandchildren Collin, Jaxon, Haley, and Clara. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
