Betty E. Valentine

FANCHER – Betty E. Valentine, 95, passed away May 19, 2022 with her family at her side. She was born March 3, 1927 in Ridgeway to the late Earl and Minnie (Schultz) Prest.

Betty worked at GE in Brockport for many years before she retired in 1986. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Church in Holley and the Albion Senior Citizens. Elmer and Betty spent many years wintering in Florida, something they enjoyed very much. Betty like to spend her spare time reading, but most of all time with her family was her favorite.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Elmer in 2006, grandson, Evan Valentine in 2021, several brothers, sisters and in-laws.

Betty is survived by her children, Connie (Darryl) Dunlap, Neil (Diane) Valentine, Bonnie (James) West, grandchildren, Timothy (Crystal) and Christopher (Megan) West; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Adrionna, Alexis, and Emma; sister, Irene Rouse as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 16650 State Route 31 Holley, NY 14470 on Sunday, May 22nd, from 1 to 4 p.m. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 9 S. Main St. Holley, NY 14470 on Monday, May 23rd, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Albion.
