Bernard Kujawa

Bernard M. Kujawa, 79, of Medina, NY, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 8, 2020.

He was born on May 26, 1941 to the late Frank and Mary (Wasierski) Kujawa of Medina and lived in the area all his life.  He attended Medina High School and graduated in 1960.  After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served four years and was honorably discharged.  Then he went to work at Harrisons Radiator Company in 1964 and retired in 1997.  Bernard enjoyed traveling, playing cards with friends, playing golf, watching sports, NASCAR and hanging out with his family.  He was a faithful Jeff Gordon fan.  Bernard was a member and regular attendee of the Sacred Heart Church until they closed and then he became a member of St. Mary’s Church, both of Medina.  When his mobility became an issue you could always find him watching church sermons on TV from the kitchen table.  He was known for his sense of humor, his wit, compassion and caring personality.  He would do anything he could to help anyone who needed it.

He is survived by his brothers: Francis and Robert (Sue); his children: Bernie,Todd (Cherie), Brad; his grandchildren: Emily (Aric), Valeri, Shelby, Nicholas, Ethan, Andruw, Summer, Cali and Kaitlynn; great-grandchildren: Baileigh, Aric, Adalynne, Micah, Aureliah, Ryker, Graysen and Gannon; his friend, Diane; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Bonnie Barry, and his brothers Raymond and James.

There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
