Bernard J. Robertson, of Albion and formerly of Holley, died March 13 at the age of 95. He was born July 12, 1923 in Holley to Jesse and Minnie Robertson and was a lifetime resident of this area.

Bernie was a United States Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Submarine Campaign from 1940 to 1945. He also worked as an experienced lens assembler for Bausch and Lomb in Rochester. He exited the corporate workforce and started and ran a successful plumbing and heating business, servicing Orleans County for his remaining years.

Mr. Robertson was predeceased by his wife, Ruby.

He is survived by his son, Russell (Louise) Robertson of Holley; his grandson, Jeffrey (Candace) Robertson of Albion; his niece, Susan (Thomas) Persia of Clarendon; his nephew, Roy Robertson; as well as several cousins.

There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Bernie’s graveside service on Mon., March 18 at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Albion Cemetery Veteran’s Companion Section.
