Audrey Ann Harris

Audrey Ann Harris, of North Charleston, S.C. and formerly of Medina, entered gracefully into Heaven on Dec. 6, 2019. Audrey was born Nov. 26, 1936 in Batavia to Glenn and Sophie (Szymanski) Beechler. She married Leighton D. Harris on June 16, 1956. They had four children and lived in Medina for almost 30 years.

Audrey loved her family with her whole heart. She was truly dedicated to everyone she loved. She was always kind and caring and very faithful in her love for God. She enjoyed caring for her cats, Mallory and Twyla, and occasionally fostered or adopted one in need of loving care.

Audrey is survived by her four children, Gary (Debbie) Harris of Wisconsin, Brenda (William) Haacker of North Carolina, Michele Harris of South Carolina, and Melissa (Robert Jr.) West of Lockport; her loving, loyal and faithful companion of 21 years, Steve Padgett of North Charleston; her eight grandchildren, Alecia and Brian Moore, Sondra Rodriguez, Courtney West, Tyler West, Tennille West, Robert West III and Dylan West; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Leighton Harris; her loving grandson, Trevor Morphet; and her sisters, Mildred Beales and Loretta Gower.

Services will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are being handled by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services in North Charleston.
