Anthony AlbaneseAnthony R. Albanese, 61, of Albion, passed away at his home on March 23, 2019. Tony was born Feb. 17, 1958 in Albion, a son of the late Anthony and Eleanor (Jablonski) Albanese.

Tony lived in this area all of his life and was a 1977 graduate of Albion Central School. He was a member of Holy Family Parish/St. Joseph’s Church, St. Mary’s Athletic Club and St. Mary’s Archer’s Club, and he was a social member of the V.F.W. Tony was employed by the Village of Albion as a caretaker at Mt. Albion Cemetery for 32 years. Tony was an easygoing, fun-loving friend to all, who always had a smile and enjoyed life. He enjoyed many friends, good food, and scratch-offs.

He is survived by his brothers, Robert (Jan) Albanese and Michael (Danielle) Albanese; sister, Maria (Vernon) Spicer; nieces and nephews, Chrissie (Scott) Ladd, Andi Albanese, Eric (Michelle) Albanese, Brian Albanese and Nicholas Spicer; several cousins; special cousin, Dorothy Albanese; and dear friend, Barb Bukiewicz.

The family will receive friends at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, on Thu., March 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. Tony’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish/St. Joseph’s Church on Fri., March 29 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
