Alton A. Brabon

Alton A. Brabon, 74, of Lyndonville, went to be with the Lord on Sun., Jan. 27, 2019 at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, N.Y.

Born on Dec. 21, 1944 in St. Regis Falls, N.Y., he was the son of the late Eugene and Arietta (Cummings) Brabon.

Alton grew up in the St. Regis Falls area and later moved to the Lyndonville/Medina area. On Aug. 26, 1972, he married the former Kathleen Kenyon, and together they raised a daughter. He was employed with Iroquois Products of Brockport as a truck driver, retiring in 2000. After his retirement, he worked as a groundskeeper at Lakeside Beach Park, Waterport. In his spare time, Alton enjoyed hunting, fishing, and staying at his cabin in St. Regis Falls.

Alton is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathleen Brabon; his daughter, Dawn (Joseph) Metty of Lyndonville; grandchildren, Kevin and Arietta, both of Lyndonville; a brother, Harry (Ida) Brabon of Norwood, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Molly.

Alton is predeceased by his brothers, Barclay, Jack and Harley.

Relatives and friends may call on Fri., Feb. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St., Lyndonville NY 14098. A funeral service will be private for the family at their convenience.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Alton’s name to Lyndonville Fire Department, 148 N. Main St., Lyndonville NY 14098.
