Alice D. Tombari-Ander

Alice D. Tombari-Ander, 92, of Medina, entered into rest on Tue., Feb. 26, 2019 at Highland Hospital in Rochester.

Born Jan. 30, 1927 in Pembroke, Mrs. Ander was a daughter of the late Francis and Maryanna (Wronowicz) Pacer. In her younger years, she worked for H.J. Heinz Company and then for Fisher-Price Toys in Medina, from which she retired in 1989. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. She enjoyed bowling, doing puzzles, reading, her trips to the casino, and traveling with her late husband, Frank, with the Harrison Radiator retirees’ travel group. Mrs. Ander loved her rose garden and, especially, helping to take care of her great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Donald K. Tombari, on June 16, 1987; her second husband, Frank Ander, on Sept. 6, 2012; and her grandson, Michael Tombari, on Oct. 27, 1992.

Mrs. Ander is survived by three children, James (Wendy) Tombari, Lori (Bill) Brege and Daniel Tombari; three grandchildren, Jason Tombari, Danielle (Brian) Smith and Jacob (Jacklyn) Tombari; nine great-grandchildren, Derek Woodworth, Jamie Tombari, Joshua Tombari, Kaitlyn Tombari, Landon Tombari, Cole, Austin, Gavin and Zachary; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Fri., March 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial on Sat., March 2 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Mary’s Church in Medina. Burial will be in Bates Road Cemetery.
