Alfonso ZicariAlfonso “Al” P. Zicari, 83, of Albion, died unexpectedly at his home on Dec. 7, 2018. He was born Sept. 15, 1935 in Albion, a son of the late Frank and Angela Zicari, and he lived in this area all of his life.

Al was a member of Albion First United Methodist Church and the Lipton Retirees, and he was a former member of the Albion Fire Department. After his retirement from T. J. Lipton’s as a supervisor, Al went to work at the Genesee Brewery, ultimately making his final retirement from there. He loved car shows and watching football, especially the Buffalo Bills.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn, in 2013; his brother, Charles “Chuck;” and his little brother, Al.

He is survived by his loving devoted children, Susan (Jack) Dick of Albion, James Zicari of Rochester, Debra (Pete) Hennekey of Albion, and Michael (Roberta) Zicari of Medina; grandchildren, Lindsay (Charlie Monacelli Jr.) Sargent, Brandon Sargent, Christian Enright, Kevin and Jeffrey Dick, and Brad Donnelly-Zicari; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Landon Standish, and Charles Monacelli III; his sister, Mary Ann Pestell of Albion; and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. Al’s memorial service will be held Sat., Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. at Albion First United Methodist Church (Albion Christ Episcopal Church), 26 S. Main St., Albion NY 14411. Entombment will be private in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
