Agnes T. Monks
Agnes T. Monks, 85, of Brockport, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 21, 2019. She was born Feb. 13, 1933 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Agnes married the love of her life, John “Jack” Monks, on Sept. 26, 1956 in Scotland and moved to the United States with Jack and her four sons on Dec. 21, 1968. She enjoyed knitting, having a nice chat, spending time with her family and friends, and watching “Jeopardy.”
Agnes was predeceased by her husband, Jack, in 2005; and by her siblings, Sarah, Maria, James, Sonny and John.
Agnes is survived by her sons, Brian (Jeannette), John Anthony Corr (Mary), Stephen (Kathy), and David (Shari); grandchildren, Jaclyn, John (Sarita), Laura, Jennifer, Natalie, Andrew and Emily; nine great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sat., Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 16650 State Route 31, Holley NY 14470, where her funeral service will be held immediately following at 12 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester.
