Oakfield Blue downs Albion Storm in softball
The Albion Storm 12u softball team was downed 15-3 by a strong Oakfield Blue squad Thursday.
Anna Gillette was on the mound for the Storm all 5 innings. The 5th grader fired in 12 strikeouts and only gave up 5 hits throughout the game.
At the plate the Storm had a rough night and couldn’t quite get the timing down managing only two hits. Gillette singled in the third to drive in a run, then stole home on a wild pitch. Gia Howard doubled in the fourth then scored on a dropped third strike.
The Storm plays Tri-Town in Alexander on Tuesday.
