Oakfield-Alabama girls down Kendall
Unable to rebound from a disastrous second quarter, Kendall dropped a 42-20 decision to visiting Oakfield-Alabama this evening in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game.
Trailing 5-1 after a very low scoring first quarter, Oakfield-Alabama rebounded to outscore Kendall 23-1 in the decisive second quarter and open up a commanding 24-6 half-time advantage. Caitlin Ryan scored 11 of her 14 points, Allison Williams 6 of her 8 and Alea Groff 4 of her 7 to key that rally for the Lady Hornets.
Oakfield-Alabama maintained a 37-13 lead after three quarters.
Stella Kwiatak led Kendall with 10.
Oakfield-Alabama is now 4-1 and Kendall 6-1.
Alexander 41, Lyndonville 31
Jumping out to a 22-9 half-time advantage, Alexander went on to defeat host Lyndonville 41-31 in a G-R contest.
Madison Boyce scored 15 and Hayden Bezon 9 to lead the way for Alexander.
Addison Dillenbeck scored 12 for Lyndonville as Bella Groves and Ashlee Stephens each added 6. Stephens also grabbed off 8 rebounds, Groves 7 and Dillenbeck 6.
Byron-Bergen 55, Holley 34
Byron-Bergen bested visiting Holley 55-34 in another G-R game as Janessa Amesbury led the way with 19 points.
Jailyn Bishop had 9 points and 7 rebounds and Alivia Wolf 7 points for Holley.
Pembroke 46, Attica 23
Leading by a narrow 15-13 margin at the half, Pembroke used a big 20-4 third period scoring edge to key a 46-23 G-R win over Attica.
Reagan Schneider scored 10 and Elle Peterson 9 to lead Pembroke’s balanced attack.
