Now it looks like the Purple Eagles turf field
Photos by Cheryl Wertman – With the logo, lettering and line markers being stitched in this week Albion’s new turf football field now truly looks like the home of the Purple Eagles. Here the large Purple Eagles mascot logo has been stitched into the center of the field and the yard line markers have been added. The main work remaining is to infill the field with a mixture of sand and rubber. The Purple Eagles home opener on the new field is scheduled for September 15 against Roy-Hart/Barker.
Here crews work on stitching in the ALBION lettering in the east endzone.
The ALBION lettering has been completed in the west endzone. Also of note the old sod has now been removed from the soccer and softball field (visible behind the concession stand) which will also have a new turf surface installed
