Northstar nips Medina/Lyndonville

Northstar scored a goal with just 11:19 remaining in the second half to nip Medina/Lyndonville 2-1 this afternoon in a non league boys soccer game at Lyndonville.

Trailing 1-0, Medina/Lyndonville pulled even on a goal by Kristian Snyder, his fourth of the season, with just 30 seconds remaining in the first half as Colm Cooper earned the assist.

However, the Mustangs could not find the net in the second half.

Now at 7-3-1 overall, Medina/Lyndonville next hosts undefeated (8-0) Niagara-Orleans League leading Newfane at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Panthers nipped the Mustangs 1-0 in overtime in their earlier season meeting.
