Winter has shown no signs of letting loose its grip on the region. More snow has fallen today and the next few days will have high temperatures only in the 30s.

The National Weather Service also has issued a wind advisory today for Orleans, Niagara, Genesee, Wyoming, Erie and Chautauqua counties.

That advisory is in effect until 11 p.m. There will be westerly winds from 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 to 55 mph.

Some trees outside Hoag Library in Albion also contended with an extra dose of winter weather today.
