No. 3 Rams reach state diamond semifinals

It was a record setting season for the Roy-Hart baseball squad which captured Niagara-Orleans League, Section VI Class B and Far West Regional titles before being downed 7-1 by Seton Catholic of Binghamton in the state semifinals at Binghamton.

The Rams first captured the Niagara-Orleans League title for the third straight year with a 10-2 record.

Roy-Hart then claimed its first sectional title  with three narrow wins including 5-2 over Gowanda in the quarterfinals, 7-6 in nine innings over Southwestern in the semis and then 4-2 over rival Medina in the Section VI Class B2 title contest which was played at Gowanda.

Roy-Hart then bested B1 champion Olean 12-9 to earn its first  Section VI Class B berth in the state playoffs.

Keeping the momentum, the Rams downed Section V champion Midlakes 10-1 at Rochester to win the Far West Regional title.

The Rams history making run though finally came to an end with the loss to Seton Catholic in the state semis.
