Niagara Sheriff’s Office releases name of Ransomville man killed in Wilson accident
WILSON – The Niagara County Sheriff’s office has released the name of the 19-year-old man killed on Tuesday night in a motor vehicle accident in Wilson.
David J. Freatman of Ransomville was driving a 2016 Kawasaki dirt bike when he collided with a tree trimming truck on Youngstown-Lockport Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck with attached aerial boom was towing a tree chipper west bound on Youngstown-Lockport Road near Andrews Road. The driver – Ryan J. Lindke, 30, of Lockport – was transported by ambulance to ECMC for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit into the incident is continuing.
