Niagara sheriff: Political sign-stealing is a crime

LOCKPORT – The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and our partner law enforcement agencies have received numerous reports of political sign thefts in recent weeks.

It is important to know that removing political signs is a crime punishable by the New York State Penal Law, Election Law, and local ordinances.
