Niagara Nationals roll to go to 14-0

The Niagara Nationals defeated the AnJo Bombers 10-3 Wednesday to improve to 14-0 on the season.

Brian Fry walked to lead off the game, took second base on a passed ball, was bunted to third by Nate Sherman and scored on a second passed ball.

In the second inning, Chris Goyette walked, moved to second base on a passed ball was hit to third by Sam Murphy and scored on a passed ball.

The Nationals blew the game open in the third inning by scoring 6 runs taking advantage of four walks, an error and base hits by Fry and Liam Ward.

On the mound, the combination of Joe Dell’Oso, Trevor Luthart, Aiden Johnston, Mav O’Neill, and Fry led the way by striking out 11 Bombers hitters and only allowing 5 hits. Dell’Oso started the game on the mound by striking out 5 of the 6 batters he faced over the first two innings of play.

Defensively the Nationals played error free baseball.

Tom Furmanski led the Bombers with a triple and pitching two strong innings.

The Nationals open up the Darien Lake Tournament today against the Lou Gehrig Iron Horse Red Team.
