Niagara Nationals down Buffalo Braves
Scoring in five different innings, the Niagara Nationals downed the Buffalo Braves 11-1 Friday to improve to 16-6 in Boys of Summer League competition.
Trevor Luthart had 3 hits and Liam Ward 2 for the Nationals which scored twice in the first, fourth and fifth frames and once in the third before breaking the contest wide open with 4 in the sixth.
Triples by Nate Sherman and David Belsito highlighted the sixth inning uprising which also included a single by Chris Goyette.
Aiden Johnston had a single in the fourth and Hunter Briggs a double in the fifth.
Joe Dell’oso went the distance on the mound allowing 4 hits and striking out 9.
