Niagara Nationals blank EMW
Improving to 17-6, the Niagara Nationals blanked host EMW 10-0 this evening in a Boys of Summer League game.
Chris Goyette and Aiden Johnston combined to hurl the shutout allowing 5 hits with 5 stikeouts.
Mitchell Holtz had 3 hits and Goyette 2 to lead the Nationals offense. Holtz, Goyette and Nate Sherman each drove in a pair of runs.
Leading 1-0, the Nationals broke the game open by scoring 3 runs in the third inning and 4 more in the fourth.
Holtz had a single in the third while David Belsito doubled and Goyette singled in the fourth.
The Nationals will next begin competition in the Lancer Classic on Thursday.
