Newfane wrestlers post win over Medina

Six forfeit wins (worth a total of 36 points) keyed defending champion Newfane to a 54-24 victory over host Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League wrestling match this evening.
Each team won three bouts that were decided on the mat.
Newfane got pins from Ayden Buttery (160), Collin Dixey (170) and Jaxson Tocco (101).
Brody Fry (190), Ethan Carson (285) and Luke Duffina (131) all notched pins for Medina.
Newfane is now 1-0 and Medina 0-2 in N-O action.
Medina will next face Holley-Kendall in a non league math at Holley at 6 p.m. Thursday.
