Newfane posts softball win over Medina

Jumping out to an early 11-1 lead, Newfane went on to defeat Medina 18-6 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game at Vets Park.
Alexa Littman and Katie Kneeland both had hits in each of the first three innings as Newfane had scoring bursts of 4, 3 and 4 runs during that stretch.
Alisha Scroger and Haylee Cogovan each had a single and double for Medina.
Newfane is now 1-1 and Medina 0-2 in N-O action.
