Newfane knocks Roy-Hart from N-O lead
A lone first half goal proved to be just enough for Newfane to nip host Roy-Hart 1-0 this evening and knock the Rams out of the Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer lead.
The loss drops Roy-Hart to 6-3 as idle Akron takes over first place at 6-2-1. Newfane improves to 5-4.
Both Roy-Hart and Akron have one game remaining on the N-O schedule. Roy-Hart visits Wilson a 6:30 p.m. Friday and Akron hosts Newfane at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Wilson, evened its record at 4-4 with a 4-0 win at Albion which slips to 0-9.
