Newfane grad is starter at Princeton

Newfane graduate and Princeton University freshman Julia Dumais is off to a strong start as a member of the Tigers softball team.
Dumais has started at third base in all 20 games to date for the Tigers and is hitting .279 with 4 doubles, 1 triple and 8 runs batted in.
She had a season highlight on Saturday as she banged out a triple to drive in Princeton’s lone run in a 1-0 victory over Brown which upped the Tigers Ivy League record to 4-0.
Defensively, she has a .938 fielding average with 25 putouts and 35 assists.
Dumais earned first team Niagara-Orleans League and All-Western New York honors her senior year at Newfane.
