Newfane golfers post win over Medina
Newfane bested visiting defending champion Medina 231-242 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League golf match.
Newfane’s Sam Capen and Medina’s Aiden Paul shared medalist honors with rounds of 39.
Trevor Heschke added a 42, Zach Murray a 47 and Cade Littman a 49 for Newfane.
Dylan Lonnen also had a 45 and Zach Blount a 49 for Medina.
Newfane improves to 2-0 and Medina slips to 1-1.
Akron also improved to 2-0 by downing Roy-Hart 234-287 as Drew Romesser earned medalist honors with a 41.
Barker evened its record at 1-1 by besting Roy-Hart 234-287.
Nathan Meza-Ray took medalist honors with a 45 and Joel Harris had a 46 for Barker.
McCarthy Lang led Roy-Hart with a 47.
