Newfane golfers hand Akron first loss
Newfane knocked Akron from the ranks of the undefeated as the Panthers trimmed the Tigers 235-240 this afternoon in a regular season ending Niagara-Orleans League golf match.
Akron is now 11-1 and Newfane 10-2 heading into Saturday’s title deciding All-League Tournament.
Trevor Heschke shot a 43 and Sam Capen a 44 to lead the way for Newfane.
Drew Romesser took medalist honors with a 41 and River White had a 42 for Akron.
