Defending champion Newfane downed host Medina 91-30 in a Niagara-Orleans League girls track meet this afternoon.

Ashlan Joseph was a double winner in the 100 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles and Melanie Myers took both the Long Jump and Triple Jump to lead the way for Newfane.

The Lady Panthers also had Leah Siegmann win the 1500, Gina Shorter the 100, Cat Ersing the 400, Kylie Bowman the 3000 and Shelby Nerber the Pole Vault.

Iyla Lilleby won the 800 and Maddy Rutledge the High Jump for Medina.

Because the Shotput and Discus were not held because of wet conditions the boys meet was not completed. Newfane holds a 66-55 lead with those two events remaining.

Bryson Costich was a triple winner in the 100, Long Jump and Triple Jump and Arian Cayea doubled in the 1600 and 3200 for Medina.

Max Czekaj doubled for Newfane in the 110 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles.

Medina’s Bryson Costich bests Newfane’s Braden Walker in the 100. Costich finished as a triple winner as he also captured the Long Jump and Triple Jump.
