Newfane girls down Medina in N-O finale
Making it 6 wins in the last 7 starts, Newfane downed visiting Medina 48-33 this evening to finish the Niagara-Orleans League season at 7-5.
Mallory Schultz scored 10 and Sienna Bowers 9 to lead the way for Newfane which was up 17-11 after the first period, 31-17 at the half and 37-31 after three quarters.
Rylee VanNostrand scored a game high 14, Stella Poler 7 and Nevaeh Moss 6 for Medina which winds up the N-O campaign at 4-8.
In the other league finale, Wilson jumped out to leads of 21-1 after the first quarter and 35-8 at the half in route to posting a 56-17 win over Barker to complete a 12-0 N-O title season.
Final N-O Standings: Wilson 12-0, Akron 8-4, Newfane 7-5, Albion 6-6, Medina 4-8, Barker 3-9, Roy-Hart 2-10.
