Newfane girls down Albion; Barker wins in OT

Building up  26-19 half-time advantage, Newfane went on to post a 46-36 win over host Albion in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game this evening.

Jensen McGhee scored 10, Hannah Hambruch 8 and Rachel Chunco 7 to lead Newfane which improves to 9-2.

Aly Knaak scored 12, Kendall Derisley 9 and Paige Derisley and Honesty Little 6 each for Albion which finishes the N-O season at 7-5.

Barker 54, Roy-Hart 50 OT
Barker outscored Roy-Hart 8-4 in the overtime period to claim a 54-50 victory.

Barker’s Sydnie Luckman sent the game into overtime tied at 46-46 when she made a free throw in the final second.

Dakota Leising then scored 5 points in the overtime period to help Barker earn the win.

Luckman finished with 21, Serena Harris 12 and Leising 8 for the Lady Raiders.

Shelby Wolf scored 16, Rileigh McCabe 14 and Ava Owens 10 for Roy-Hart.

Both teams finish the N-O season at 4-8.

Wilson 60, Medina 18
Wilson completed a 12-0 N-O title campaign with a 60-18 win at Medina.

Izzy Dinse scored 16, Anna Frerichs 12 and Skylar Munnikhuysen an Isabella Lemke 10 each for Wilson which led 33-16 at the half.

Anya Bloom scored 8 and Sarah Sones 6 for Medina which slips to 0-11 in N-O competition.
