Newfane duo named N-O Runners of the Year
Photos by Tom Rivers – Newfane’s duo of senior Liam Betteridge, left, and seventh grader Eden Hillman have been named the Niagara-Orleans Leauge’s Cross-Country Runners of the Year. Betteridge went undefeated in N-O competition and won the All-League meet. He was the N-O League’s only state qualifying boy at the sectionals. Hillman won the N-O All-League meet and had the fastest time among all N-O runners at the sectionals. She was the fastest 7th grade runner among all classes in Section VI and was the top N-O runner at the McQuaid Invitational.
