Newfane booters down Albion; Holley wins

Scoring four goals in each half, Newfane rolled to an 8-3 win over host Albion this evening leaving the two teams tied for second place in the Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer standings at 3-2-1.

Jarrett Gilson erupted for 6 goals to spearhead the Newfane attack as Trevor Heschke had the assist on each of the tallies.

Albion did stay within one at 2-1 midway through the first half on a goal by Kendyll Hadick.

However, Gilson answered back with 4 straight goals, two to close the first half and two more to open the second, to put Newfane back in control at 6-2.

Hadick had 2 goals on the night for the Purple Eagles and Sam Sanchez 1.

Holley 5, Pembroke 0
Holley improved to 3-2 in the Genesee Region League and 6-3 overall with a 5-0 win over Pembroke.

Kohl Morgan had a pair of goals for the Hawks as Kayden Servais, Matt Wilson and John Mounts eau chipped in with 1.  Wilson also had 2 assists and Nate Nothnagle 1.

Byron-Bergen 2, Kendall 1
Kendall tied the game at 1-1 in the second half as Brian Gonzalez scored off an assist from Dale Steffen but Byron-Bergen answered with a late goal to claim the narrow G-R win.
