New pressbox tops grandstand at Vets Park
Photo by Cheryl Wertman – The final main piece in the erection of the new grandstand at Medina’s Vets Park was installed this morning as a crane hoisted the large blue modular press box into place atop the grandstand. In addition to the construction of the grandstand, the Phase II work of the park’s renovation project also includes the relocation of the two light towers on the south side, which have been moved and reinstalled, and a new entrance area. Weather permitting, the park will see its first night baseball game of the season this evening as Medina is slated to host Newfane at 7 p.m.
