NCCC win Thunderwolves Classic opener
Getting double figure scoring production from six players, the undefeated (15-0) Niagara County Community College women’s basketball team downed Henry Ford Community College 91-72 this evening in the opening round of the Thunderwolves Classic.
Aubrey Halloran had 22 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, 4 assists and Paige Emborsky (Newfane) 18 points to lead the way for NCCC as Molly Mahony (Lancaster) added 14 points, 5 rebounds; Cori Dickson (Cardinal O’Hara) 13 points, 10 assists, 4 steals; Shilah Parker (Cardinal O’Hara) 11 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists; Kenetria Redfern (Cheektowaga) 11 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and Caitlynn Snook (Albion) 2 points, 2 rebounds.
The Thunderwolves next host Lakeland Community College at 3 p.m. in the Classic finale.
