Nationals use fast start to down EMW
Moving on top to stay with three quick first inning runs, the Niagara Nationals went on to defeat host EMW 10-2 this evening in a Boys of Summer League baseball game.
Singles by Liam Ward, Trevor Luthart and Dave Belsito along with a sacrifice by Aiden Johnston keyed the opening frame uprising. Belsito had a pair of hits on the night.
The Nationals later put a firm lock on the win by erupting of 6 runs in the seventh inning on 4 walks, an error, a double by Joe Dell’oso and a single by Mitchell Holtz.
Holtz and Sam Murphy split the pitching duties allowing a total of 4 hits with 4 strikeouts.
The Nationals improve to 15-6.
