Nationals bow in Darien Tourney semis

The Niagara Nationals dropped a 14-4 decision to the Finger Lakes Falcons this afternoon in the semifinals of the Darien Lake Tournament.

Scoring in five different innings, the Falcons tallied 4 times in the second and five in the seventh.

Dave Belsito, Sam Murphy and Mitchell Holtz each had a pair of hits for the Nationals.

The Nationals advanced to the semis by blanking Team PAC 10-0 this morning as Trevor Luthart and Korey Canton combined to hurl a no hitter with 7 strikeouts.

Nate Sherman had 3 hits, including a double and 4 RBIs, to lead the way for the Nationals at the plate as Joe Dell’osi and Liam Ward both had 2 hits. Ward’s hits included a double.

The Nationals went 4-1 on the weekend.
